Eduardo Okamoto is an actor. He holds a bachelor’s (2001), a master’s (2004) and PhD (2009) in Performing Arts from University of Campinas, where he is currently a professor. In 2019, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Theatre and Performance Department of Goldsmiths University of London.
He has been educated by several artists. Among them are Newton de Souza, Suzi Frankl Sperber, Lume Teatro, Verônica Fabrini, Marcelo Lazzaratto, Maria Thais, Marcio Aurelio, Marie-Garielle Rotie and Yumiko Yoshioka.
He has widely performed in Brazil, as well as abroad: in Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Morocco, Kosovo, Scotland and Poland.
In his career, we can highlight the plays: "Now and at the Time of Our Turn" (2006); "Eldorado" (2009); "Refusal"(2012); "OE" (2015); "The Fire Dragon" (2017).
Among several distinctions for his acting work, he was twice nominated for the Shell Award (2009 and 2012) and won an APCA Award (2012).
He has taken part in some TV series broadcast by TV Cultura and AXN Channel. He has also acted in the short film "Still Life" (2012).
He is the author of the book "Now and at the Time of Our Turn: the street boy and the circus toy" (Editora Hucitec, 2007).
